How To Delete Target Purchase History On Target App
To prevent someone from seeing a gift purchase, you may wish to hide your purchase history on the Target phone app. Although this would be nice to do, unfortunately, the app cannot erase your purchase history. The system is set up to track your purchases.
However, you can probably achieve your goal by doing a “workaround.”

You can clear out your search history on the Target app so that what you were looking for is not immediately apparent if another family member or friend logs into your account.
Step 1. Tap the search bar with the little magnifying glass icon.
Step 2. Below pictures of recently viewed items, you will see the text “Recently Searched” and the word “Clear” on the right.
Step 3. Tap “Clear.” This removes your search history.
Step 4. Browse merchandise not associated with your gift. This places other products under the heading “Your Views” in the app and makes the previous product views for your gift purchase much more difficult to discover by accident.
Although Target doesn’t provide any information on how to cancel your Target account, the company cannot force you to keep one active. You will have to spend a couple of minutes writing a message or speaking on the phone to accomplish the task.
Should you wish to start a new Target account in the future, the retailer will be happy to welcome you back.
